Get Help. Get Sorted. – A Community Coming Together What a fantastic afternoon of connection, support and community! On Saturday, 8 August, Get Help. Get Sorted. brought our community together at Te Pae o Kura, 126 Awaroa Road, Sunnyvale, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and to the many people who gave their time, energy and support to make the event such a success. Your generosity and serving hearts helped create a welcoming and positive experience for individuals, families and whānau across our community. Hosted by Ngā Tāngata Microfinance and Henderson Budget Service, the event brought together 15 community providers, showcasing a wide range of services and support available to help people navigate financial, wellbeing, employment, housing and other challenges. A Day of Connection and Community The response from the community was fantastic, with more than 200 people attending throughout the afternoon. Some of the highlights included: 167 event entry giveaway tickets issued to adults. 87 completed Passport Challenge cards entered into the draw to win a Samsung Smart TV, proudly sponsored by Mercury. 50+ face paintings completed throughout the afternoon – including a few of us who are young at heart! 😊 15...
