Ngā Tāngata Microfinance Trust appoints new CEO
Ngā Tāngata Microfinance Trust (NTMT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jade Tapsell (Tapuika, Ngati Whakaue, Ngati Pikiao and Ngati Ranginui), as Chief Executive Officer of Ngā Tāngata Microfinance Trust.
A qualified solicitor and experienced CEO, Jade was formerly CEO of Poutiri Trust and led a team delivering hauora services based in Te Puke and supporting a network of 13 health providers throughout the Bay of Plenty. She joins Ngā Tāngata Microfinance after a period of consultancy work.
With a strong passion for justice and serving the community, Jade is excited to be able to apply her leadership and advocacy skills to the provision of safe, fair and affordable finance options that enable financial inclusion and capability.
Jade joins Ngā Tāngata Microfinance on the 6th of June 2023 and replaces Natalie Vincent, who stepped down from the CEO role in March after leading the organisation for three and a half years.
Chair of the Trust, Nicola Brehaut, said, “We are delighted to have Jade on board. We look forward to working with her as she leads the organisation to fulfil our vision of a just and equitable society, with the economic and social inclusion of all those living in Aotearoa New Zealand”.
